Out and About

Anyone for tennis ? Beaver Scouts from the 70th Colony got in some early season practice for the new season as guests of Fort Matilda Tennis Club.

The Beavers learned some new skills and completed a part of their Fitness Challenge. Thanks to Craig Brown for coaching.

13 Explorers from the Darroch Unit (6th) were at Fort William last weekend for their skiing and snowboarding trip. The explorers excelled themselves on their two full days up Aonoch Mor,enjoying the best conditions experienced on any snowsports trip to date. With all runs complete and bathed in sunshine the lads exhausted themselves perfecting their skills and learning some new techniques.
An off-piste experience on the Back Corries for some of the boarders added to the adrenalin packed weekend. The explorers returned home late on Sunday eagerly anticipating their next ski trip. The leaders would like to thank Footloose Adventure for their help and expert tuition.

7 Cub Scouts from the 70th Pack started work on some Hikes Away on the Cut learning a bit about maps and compasses along the way. A grand Easter Egg hunt took place at Cornalees.

Community Wardens and CCTV

Explorer Scouts from the Finnart Unit got to grips with the CCTV cameras on Inverclyde Council’s mobile safety van, which the local Community Wardens brought to the Scout Hall. They had tour of the mobile CCTV unit and got an insight into the everyday working of the Community Wardens.

Beavers Cinema Trip

Holidays

HQ and Scout Shop will be closed on Saturday 5th April. Scout Notes will be off for 2 weeks returning on Saturday 19th April.
