Out and About
Everton Upgrades
Over the next few weeks some hard work will be required preparing Everton for the summer season. A team of scouts from the 85th Group are working on a programme of work which will gain them the Campsite Service Badge. Outdoor work around the campfire area was carried out and painting of the car park fence is almost completed. In the lodge some painting has been done in the leaders’ room and the bedrooms and the kitchen will shortly be undergoing a major refit.
Roland Shackell, Everton Site Convener (636049), would welcome assistance from other Groups over the coming weeks.
Despite atrocious weather the 32nd scouts completed their series of winter hikes last weekend. The scouts hiked from Overton to Everton via Dunrod Hill then spent time at Everton working on the Master at Arms Badge. This involves learning to set up, run and adopt proper techniques in archery.
