Out and About

15 scouts from the 6th braved the elements while in Fort William at the weekend for their annual ski trip. Due to poor conditions on the slopes the scouts started on Saturday with a short hike at Glen Nevis, which was made more exciting by crossing over some waterfalls amidst howling winds, torrential rain and fabulous scenery. Fun was had by all in the afternoon ten pin bowling followed by watching the skills of the slacklining champions who were competing at the Fort William Mountain Festival. On Sunday the scouts headed up Aonach Mor on the gondola for skiing and snowboarding lessons and truly excelled themselves while learning what was for most a new skill. The scouts and leaders would like to thank Footloose Adventure for all their help and tuition.

18 scouts from the 32nd had a great time at Everton despite the weather. Outdoor activities were restricted to a few wide games before being rained off. The lodge was then turned into a games arena for games such as hockey, bench ball and sumo. Archery and Jacobs ladder was cancelled at the last minute due to high winds and replaced by more wide games. All scouts went home happy and muddy.
